Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)

Broken Vessels is a worship song of God’s amazing grace and love. God takes pride in using broken vessels, ordinary people, like you and like me. It’s because of His amazing grace that our eyes are open to the fact that He wants to use us, to do what only He can do, so that people will see Him. And here are some Bible verses, Scripture readings for call to worship relevant to the song Broken Vessels.

Ephesians 2:1-3 (ESV)
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

Psalm 51:16-17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering.

Ephesians 2:4-10 (ESV)
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Psalm 34:18
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

1 Cor. 1: 26, 27; 2 Cor. 4:7
Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

Romans 10:11-17 (ESV)
For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

VERSE 1
All these pieces, broken and scattered
In mercy gathered, mended and whole
Empty handed but not forsaken
I’ve been set free, I’ve been set free

PRE-CHORUS
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I am found
Was blind but now I see

CHORUS
Oh I can see You now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying Yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

VERSE 2
You take our failure, You take our weakness
You set Your treasure in jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord, I’ll be Your vessel
The world to see, Your life in me
